Easter..and more

Sunday was Easter! I had a very good day with my family. Cameron and I spent Saturday night down there after my two Aunts and I went to see the Hannah Montana movie. I was very surprised at how much I liked it. Number one, it was very neat to see all the places I recognized and people I knew in it. Number two, it was just good. I then baked a Bunny Cake and Chocolate dipped Peanut Butter cookies.

Brandi and Michelle stopped by while I spent the night in a house with no TV or computer to at least pass the time. It was very nice to see them! Sunday Cameron and I woke up to send my Aunt Cady and Christopher back off to North Carolina. We were sad to see them go but had a lot of fun while they were here! After we had Easter lunch/dinner Cameron and I headed back up to Hendersonville to get Jacob and went to see Beryl! As always, it was a hoot and she was happy to see Jacob and Cameron!

This week has been a very interesting week. I have been really busy trying to finish up my semester in good standing. So far so good, but it is getting harder and harder to finish things up! Cameron is really starting to move....and he is starting to try to talk. He is making more and more sounds every day. We started him on the next step up in food and in diapers this week! He is now in 3's for diapers. I can't believe how fast he is growing.

On top of trying to finish out school, I am in hot persuit for a job. We found out this week that Justin is going to get his hours cut back at work and it is a little stressful. We are praying that a contract goes through so that business will pick up for him! But, in the meantime, I am trying to find something to do to help make ends meet. I am hoping to get to sub, but if not, hopefully another door will open. And if not, I'll find a window!! (A little Rascall Flatts)

Well, until next time I can get on here!!

WOW...its been a long time

WOW....

So it has officially been way too long since I have gotten on here to post a blog. I am definitely slacking, or maybe I am just busy. Who knows, I will try to let myself believe the latter.

Well, what has changed in my life since the last time I posted a blog?

Cameron is now 6 months old as of Wednesday! I really can't believe how fast this is all going by. My little man is growing so fast and it is sad sometimes. I love being a mom though. He is my little miracle and my reason for a lot of things. I am back in school full time thanks to a little encouraging from Justin, which is very appreciated. Hopefully now I can complete school in 2 years max. I am still on the hunt for a job since as of January I no longer work at Baptist. It has been extremely hard for me, but I think that it is made way for me to be a better mom, go back to school, and help Beryl out. Beryl is Justin's 91 year old grandmother that is amazing and always gives me a good laugh. I hope to make it as far as she is in the great condition that she is in!

Cameron is fully turning over now. He will go from one side to the next to get to where he wants to go. It is so amazing to see him starting to really progress. He almost can sit up by himself now. He LOVES his Johnny Jump up and his saucers for the most part. If he knows I am around anywhere though he tries to pull a fast one on me to get me to pick him up....already trying to see what he can get out of me!! I can tell crawling is just around the corner. He wants to go so bad but he just can't figure out how yet!

Today is Good Friday....yet I don't know how good it was. We had a massive round of storms come through today in which many tornado's touched down. The worst of it seemed to have been in Murfreesboro, which I am so thankful that everyone I seem to know is okay. I am sad for the few that have been injured along with the mother and 9 week old baby that passed away. My prayers and thoughts go out to all those effected by the storm.

My Aunt Cady and Christopher came into town yesterday so Cameron and I spent the day down at the farm visiting with them. It was really good to see them...Christopher is getting so big. Knowing that he is only about a year ahead of Cameron shows me what Cameron is going to be like. I am both excited and sad he isn't going to be my little baby much longer! Tomorrow I am excited to go down to have my sister and cousins watch Cameron while myself, Cady, and Martha go to a movie! It should be a lot of fun!

Cameron's first Easter is on Sunday! We will be making the rounds to see all of our family members and I will try to get on here to update on that! As of now, I am going to go to bed before I pass out on the keyboard! Hopefully it won't be 4-5 months before I post again!!!

Go Cougars!!

Well, I finally got some birth announcements made today!! I have to say I think they are pretty cute!! I had to take Cameron to the doctor today and I can't believe that he now weighs 9 lbs 11 oz! He is my little growing man. I wish they would have done how long he is but I guess I could really do that one myself.

I had a huge moment the yesterday where I felt like I really am getting the hang of this. Yes, I know I have probably spoiled my child and might hold him a little too much, but I figure he is going to be my only one so I might as well hold him as much as I can. But, he sleeps through the night for the most part, even though it is with me, but I am getting used to sleeping as much as I am, and we really travel well together also. I plan on starting to travel here soon...I have a couple of places I want to get to before I am off of maternity leave.

I did have kind of a bummer or at least a headache today. I have decided I don't like insurance companies or trying to deal with it. But hopefully I got the problem solved and everything will work out.

Tonight I get to go see Chaz play up here in Gallatin and I am excited about it. It is the first time Centennial has ever been in the playoffs and I am hoping they win!! Go Cougars...well at least until next year!!

Cameron's First Halloween....and my first blog

So, I have decided to do this blog thing because I really enjoy looking at my friend Ansley's so I thought maybe I would give it a go. Hopefully I will be able to keep up with it. It will probably be easier because I have my son to write about so it should be fun!!

Well, Friday was Halloween and we had a pretty busy day. Justin came home from work and we took Cameron to see his great grandma, Mama Beryl, and show her his costume.

Needless to say she was completely thrilled with seeing him. We came home and I went to see Brandi's volleyball team win state and it was neat to see that Cameron would sleep through a whole gym full of people yelling at the top of their lungs. You would think if he could sleep through that he would sleep in his own bed...but not yet!! That night Cameron and I sat on our front porch and passed out candy. Mitch and Victoria came over and we kept a tally of how many trick-or-treaters we had. Approximately 48 came by...a good showing I thought!!

Tomorrow is the day we pick our new president...it should be interesting taking a 3 wk old child to try to vote, but I am going to do it. I am actually kind of excited about it. Wish me luck bearing the crowds...maybe it won't be too bad!!
